What does an outing include?
All our trips include navigation gear - double kayaks with rudder imported from Canada, PFD, paddles, jackets -, bilingual (Spanish - English) guides, delicious meals, camping gear (except for your sleeping bag), and insurance. To check out the extras included in your outing, see the trips.
What do I need to take part in an outing?
To be in good physical shape in accordance to the outing. To know how to swim (although this is not an essential condition).
To be willing to strictly observe the instructions of the guides, and to enjoy an adventure in Patagonia.
To have read the General Conditions and have submitted the signed Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk

How much prior experience is required?
No prior experience is required for our outings, although you need to be in fairly good physical shape to withstand 2 to 7 hours of rowing a day.
When is the best time of the year for the outing?
PURAVIDAPATAGONIA offers expeditions throughout the year. Please check out our trips to see whether your outing takes place on a special time of the year.
Where do we camp? Are there toilet facilities available?
We will camp in authorized outdoor places, without any restrooms in the vicinity. Toilet facilities are not common in the places where we camp. Our guides will instruct you on this matter, and will carry a special kit with toilet paper, plastic bags, and a small shovel for your convenience.
Do our guides speak English?
Absolutely all our staff - guides and office clerks - speak English, and some even speak Italian. Needless to say, we all speak Spanish.

What is the number of passengers required for an outing?
Daily outings require a minimum of 1 (one) passenger. There is no need to worry if you are looking for a private outing, as we always prefer to work with small groups.
With respect to outings for two or more days, we work with a minimum of 4 (four) passengers per trip. Nonetheless, if it is only you, please let us know and will try to fit you in a group.
What is the recommended clothing to wear?
Our clothing should be in accordance with the time of the year we choose for the outing, always bearing in mind that the temperature may drop and it may rain on any season. The best thing is to put on several layers of clothing, in true "onion" style. We recommend that you avoid cotton garments, as they take a long time to dry, keeping you wet and cold. The ideal option, even when wet, is Lycra, polypropylene, nylon, or polyester as a first layer.
For further information, check the trips sections on the recommended clothing for your specific outing.

If I bring my family along, what is the age limit?
The age limit is 15 for outings of more than one day. Shorter trips are ideal for the entire family!
Do I need to know how to swim?
If you do know, great! If you do not, there is no need to worry, as we will be watching you.
But you must always warn your guide about this.
Any other question is most welcome.
